Preferences
The Preferences page lets you manage your profile, appearance, invoice settings, and data.
Profile Settings
Update your display name, which appears on activities and in team member lists.
- Name - Your display name visible to colleagues
- Changes take effect immediately across the application
Theme
Choose your preferred color theme:
- System - Automatically matches your operating system’s dark/light mode preference
- Light - Always use the light theme
- Dark - Always use the dark theme
The theme preference is stored locally in your browser.
Invoice Settings
Configure your company details that appear on generated invoices:
- Company Name - Your business or company name
- Company Email - Contact email shown on invoices
- Company Address - Your business address (supports multiple lines)
- Company Phone - Contact phone number
- Tax Label - Name for your tax (e.g., “VAT”, “GST”, “Sales Tax”)
- Tax Rate - Percentage applied to invoice totals
- Billing Currency - Default currency for new contracts
- Invoice Footer - Custom text at the bottom of invoices (e.g., payment terms, bank details). Lines containing only dashes (
--) render as horizontal separator lines.
Import / Export
Exporting Activities
Export all your activities for a given year as a CSV file. The export includes:
- Description, start/end times, tags, notes
- Project and client information
- Full timestamps with timezone information
Importing Activities
Import activities from a CSV file. The import process:
- Select a CSV file with activity data
- Choose a fallback timezone for entries without embedded timezone information
- Review the import results showing imported count, duplicates skipped, and any errors
Supported CSV format: The import expects columns for description, start time, end time, tags, and optionally project, client, and notes. Dates can be in various formats and timezones embedded in the timestamps are respected.
Team member import: If the CSV contains an email column, activities are imported for the matching user. The user must be a team member on one of your clients.
Duplicate detection: Activities with identical description, start time, end time, and user are automatically skipped to prevent duplicates.
Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your account from the bottom of the Preferences page. This action:
- Removes all your data including activities, clients, projects, and settings
- Cannot be undone
- Requires confirmation before proceeding
